Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a pharmacy associate to deliver friendly, patient-focused service in a busy retail setting. You will retrieve medications, input prescriptions, process labels and insurance claims, and help stock the Pharmacy Department while upholding confidentiality and a professional appearance.

You bring a High School/GED or state requirements, retail/community practice experience, excellent customer service, a positive attitude, and strong typing, organization, prioritization

Qualifications

• High School/GED or state requirements.
• Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
• Proficient typing and basic math skills.
• Neat, legible penmanship and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritizing workload and maintaining professional appearance.
• Using effective communication skills and being an agent of change.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
