Pharmacy Technician

Location: Geneva, NY

Employment type: Part-time

Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide best-in-class service to our customers in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment. You will be instrumental in building trust with customers and ensuring they receive proper medication and care.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription requests while building trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion.
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers.
• Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information.
• Ensure the department runs smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies.
• Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices.

Requirements

• Computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math, including arithmetic, fractions, ratios, and calculating daily supply.
• Pharmacy technician certification, requirements vary by state.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician experience.
• Pharmacy technician certification.
