Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required and maintained.
• 1,000 hours of experience working under the direct supervision of an outpatient pharmacist (telepharmacy support).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Telepharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medication brand and generic names; strong medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients dropping off or picking up prescriptions.
• Enter and process prescription orders into the computer; consult with pharmacist as needed.
• Retrieve, count, and set up orders for the pharmacist.
• Create/update patient health/insurance profiles in the system.
• Answer and respond to phone calls.
• Assist pharmacist and staff under supervision in pharmacy operations.
