The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor assists with achieving excellent patient experience, high quality outcomes, and improved productivity for the team. Performs the daily duties of the pharmacy technician.Pharmacy technician roles supervised by pharmacy technician supervisor include refill protocol team, medication assistance program, patient access center, and population health.**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Assists in the interviewing and selection process of technicians.* Participates in and coordinates new employee onboarding and training for technicians* Completes technician competency assessments and provides real-time feedback on job performance. Coaches team members to achieve success* Conduct technician meetings to ensure staff are appropriately updated on departmental and system updates and communications.* Perform clinical chart audits as needed, using established review protocols.* Manage daily operations of technician-related Pharmacy services, including developing, updating, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all technician duties.* Participates in front line duties as needed such as prescription refills, medication access and patient access center.* Problem-solve patient complaints and complex medication-related issues with communication/follow-up with department heads and administration.* Identify and communicate need for adequate resources to meet needs of patients and staff.* Participates in system changes in the department to ensure staff understands process and workflow changes under direction of the chair, administrative director, or designee.* Contributes to the goals of pharmacy leadership by timely completing projects and new initiatives. Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionally required.
