Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients from birth to adulthood. You will assist with repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivering medications as part of a developmentally appropriate patient care process.

Requirements include RPHT-TX or Pharmacy Intern status, CPHT certification preferred, and 2 years of technician experience with 40 hours of sterile compounding training from a recognized

Qualifications

• RPHT-TX - Registered Pharmacy Technician from the State Board of Pharmacy is required, OR
• PHAR INT - Pharmacy Intern
• CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
• 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred
• 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists required

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Repackaging and compounding activities as applicable.
• Filling and delivery of medications and related dispensing tasks as appropriate for patient age range (0-adult).
