Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) preferred.
- Typically 3 years of health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background.
- Strong math, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and be understood by others.
Responsibilities
- Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
- Serves as expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
- Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation and records.
- Supports communication with patients and care team.
- Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective care.
- Participates in site or system specialized teams and committees.
