Job summary

Archbold Specialty Pharmacy in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our Archbold Specialty Pharmacy team. This full-time, day-shift position supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping patient records accurate.

Requirements include high school diploma, Georgia registration as a Pharmacy Technician, PTCB certification, and hospital or retail pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia required.
• Active certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
• Dual certification or other advanced training and education preferred.
• Pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain drug inventory and patient records.
• Work under supervision of a registered pharmacist; cannot perform duties only a pharmacist may perform.
• Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle interruptions and changing workloads.

Pharmacy Technician Specialist- Archbold Specialty Pharmacy

Pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail setting required.

Responsibilities:

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians must have the ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods; work cooperatively with health‑system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities and solve problems; respond quickly to emergency requests; communicate effectively (orally and in writing), and assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by the organization.
