Job summary

HomeTown Pharmacy Inc. offers a Pharmacy Technician Training Program where you can earn while you learn and become a licensed Pharmacy Technician. The program includes hands-on training, patient interactions, and exposure to prescription processing.

You will greet customers, answer phones, enter data, and support the front register while developing the skills needed to obtain your Pharmacy Technician License.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Basic computer proficiency and comfortable with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with care and professionalism.
• Answer phones and respond to customer questions.
• Support the front register when needed.
• Receive prescriptions and gather patient information.
• Enter patient, prescriber, and medication data.
• Fill, count, label, and process prescriptions.
• Contact prescribers for refills or clarifications.
• Take verbal prescriptions from prescribers as directed by the pharmacist.
