Job summary

CompleteRx in Alamogordo, NM is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) for Christus Retail Pharmacy. This role supports procurement, distribution, and delivery of medications in a hospital-based retail setting.

You will prepare sterile products, fill carts, rotate stock, enter charges, and handle returns. Requirements include HS diploma, 6 months hospital pharmacy tech experience, state registration if required, and a preferred CPT? (CPhT) where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting.
• Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of employment/practice if required.
• Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) if required in the State of employment/practice. Where not required, it is preferred.
• Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
• Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
• Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
• Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
• Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
• Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

• Monday - Friday / 8am - 6pm
• Saturday / 10am - 4pm
• Sunday / Closed
• This position will provide coverage as needed for call-outs, vacations, and holidays.
