Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Clinical Pharmacist with processing and filling prescriptions and medication orders.

You will review orders, enter patient information, and help manage pharmacy inventory. You will also provide customers with information on medications, health insurance, and related services, and file third-party claims both on paper and electronically.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to use a computer, type, operate calculator.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Clinical Pharmacist in processing and filling prescriptions and medication/medical supply orders.
• Reviews and enters orders and patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Processes and assists in the maintenance of pharmacy inventory.
• Provides customers/patients with information about medications, health insurance, and other health care related services.
• Files third-party insurance claims on paper and electronically.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Current Hawaii State certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician

Completion of pharmacy technical program or on-the-job education/pharmacy work experience preferred
