Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Walgreens' "earn while you learn" Pharmacy Technician Training Program, recognized by ASHP & the Department of Labor, provides a pathway to becoming a certified pharmacy technician, equipping you with a portable, nationally recognized credential.

Whether new or experienced, Walgreens will train you to serve and care for patients and customers. Our program includes courses, activities, and resources to prepare you for certification.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists under supervision, in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug info, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations if certified.
• Deliver excellent customer service, greet customers, resolve issues, and develop relationships.

Additional Duties:

• Support pharmacy operations, including data entry, prescription filling, verifying medicines, and maintaining workflow.
• Report errors, handle cash register transactions, and assist with inventory management.
• Support clinical services, outreach, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Development:

• Maintain PTCB certification, attend training, and pursue continuing education.
• Fluency in English and willingness to work flexible hours are required.
• Preferred: Six months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and PTCB certification.
