Universal Health Services’ Henderson Hospital in Nevada is seeking a Pharmacy Technician per diem to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintain drug inventory, and uphold records in accordance with state and federal regulations. The role supports daily pharmacy operations in a busy hospital setting.

Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will ensure accurate narcotics access, follow standard procedures, and stay compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year experience preferred.
• Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in Nevada.
• Certification by PTCB or NHA preferred.

Responsabilités

Job Description

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

Shift: PER DIEM VARIED

Education

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).

License/Certification

Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
