Responsibilities

• Handle daily pharmacy operations under established policies and guidelines.
• Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and may work independently; no direct patient care.
• Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver the correct quantities of medications to the appropriate patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs per the Drug Formulary; manage ordering, receiving, storing and paperwork.
• Monitor doses per the Medication Administration Record on narcotics sign-out records.
• Maintain all forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
