Job summary

St. Joseph Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and supporting patient records in an acute care setting.

• Picks up orders, requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas during rounds.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records and assisting in filling Intravenous antibiotics.
• Filling, trouble shooting and maintain automated dispensing machine.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule.
• Picks up orders, requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NYS Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• PTCB or NHA certification required.
• Experience in an acute care facility Pharmacy department strongly preferred

Salary Range

USD $30.12 - USD $30.12 /Hr.
