PriceChopper in Glens Falls, NY, is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician for our House Calls Pharmacy. Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision, data entry, counseling patients, and supporting pharmacy operations.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, basic math and computer skills, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and customer service.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
Possess basic computer skills.
Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
Maintain security of all controlled substances
