Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team under the supervision of the Clinical Pharmacist. You will prepare and dispense prescribed medications, ensure barcoding accuracy, and participate in quality control and inventory activities to keep medications available for caregivers.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Technician License or Vocational School Graduate or High School Diploma / GED required.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, prepares and dispenses prescribed medications accurately and timely.
Ensures medications are bar-coded and barcode is recognized by the Meditech system.
Performs quality control and auditing to ensure medications are available to caregivers.
Assists with inventory to ensure necessary supplies and stock for daily operations.
Maintains proactive communications with colleagues and the healthcare team.
Contributes to patient-centered care and a quiet healing environment.
Follows procedures to report patient safety issues and medical errors.
Supports departmental policies and infection control standards.
Demonstrates professional appearance and acts as an ambassador for the organization.
