Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacy professional to support patient care and pharmacy operations. You will retrieve medications, enter prescription data, prepare labels, adjudicate insurance, and handle paperwork related to dispensing and orders. You will also order meds, stock inventory, and promote clinical services to customers.

In this role you will maintain a clean, professional pharmacy area and protect patient confidentiality while providing excellent service and timely, accurate processing.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
