Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a full-time Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support coordination, preparation, distribution and delivery of medications for discharge and transplant patients.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will ensure timely medication access, accuracy and safety, with emphasis on prior authorization and high-quality patient care.

As a full time Outpatient Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will assist with coordination, preparation, distribution, prior authorization and delivery of mediations of Discharge and Transplant patients in a timely manner. All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Educational Requirements: High school Diploma/GED required
• License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• What else are we looking for? Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred
• Physical demands: Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
• Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.
• Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients and other customers.
• Able to read information on medication labels.
