Froedtert Health in Mequon, WI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate daily technician operations at our CP-MEQUON HEALTH CENTER facility. This on-site role supports pharmacists in processing medication orders and drug therapy monitoring.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; a pharmacy technician training program is preferred. Licensure within 12 months and certification within 6 months of hire are required.

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Pharmacy technician licensure/registration required within 12 months of hire and PTCE/ExCPT certification within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Acts as a daily resource for the technicians and provides guidance on technical and operational information.
• Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy; may procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under supervision.

Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm and a weekend rotation at an alternate location.
Job Summary:
Coordinates the daily operations of the pharmacy technician staff at the assigned location. Acts as a daily resource for the technicians and provides guidance regarding technical and operational information. In addition, provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred. EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent is required. EDUCATION PREFERRED: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred. TRAINING REQUIRED: None. TRAINING PREFERRED: Leadership training is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Exceptional customer service skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group. Proven attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Proven leadership skills. Experience with various computer systems and programs. SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED: None. LICENSURE REQUIRED: Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire. LICENSURE PREFERRED: None.
