The role emphasizes attention to detail in a fast-paced setting with a Monday–Friday schedule; training begins with a 9:30am–6:00pm window and progresses to 11:00am–8:00pm.

Qualifications

• Washington Pharmacy Technician License – REQUIRED.
• PTCB Certification; 6 months to obtain certification with coaching.
• High School diploma or equivalent is expected.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with high accuracy.
• Conduct basic drug calculations and dosage conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and follow up in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure processing compliance.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate management reports.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks as directed.

PharMerica is hiring full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Vancouver, WA!

Join PharMerica’s closed-door, non-retail pharmacy team and play a vital role behind the scenes supporting long-term care and senior living communities. As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering and processing medication orders to ensure timely and safe patient care.

This role is for the Controls Processing Department. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and operations teams to input prescription data, verify information, and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to manage a high-volume workflow in a fast-paced environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys focused, task-driven work and wants to make a meaningful impact without direct patient‑facing responsibilities.

Requirements

• Washington Pharmacy Technician License – REQUIRED
