Job summary

Omnicare in Indianapolis is hiring a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication dispensing, packaging, and regulatory compliance in a closed-door facility.

You will work a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday with rotating weekend shifts, in a role that strengthens operations as Omnicare transitions within CVS Health.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience in long-term care settings.
• Prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pack and dispense medications in a closed-door pharmacy setting.
• Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
• Coordinate stock rotations and assist with order fulfillment.
• Perform tasks such as narcotics, IV, compounding, and product receiving.

Day In The Life:

As an Back-End Pharmacy Technician, you will work to ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for our patients.

You will work in various workstations allowing you to grow your skillsets further.

Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment in our closed-door pharmacy setting, including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.

Required Qualifications:

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:
• Prior experience in the long-term care industry
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• PTCB National Certification
• Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Education:

Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $16.00 - $26.21

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
