Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified IV Ambulatory to oversee specialized IV compounding operations and pharmacy workflows. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant service under limited supervision.

The incumbent mentors new staff, supports training, and drives departmental quality initiatives while maintaining high standards of patient care and teamwork within ambulatory pharmacy settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 7 years of experience required; CH accredited technician training program counts as 2 years.

The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified IV Ambulatory performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role oversees workflows and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Function:

• Maintains pharmacy workflow; including but not limited to compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, distribution of medication in compliance with current standards or obtaining a complete and accurate medication history based on organization standard.


• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.


• Serves as a mentor in the training and orientation of new employees.


• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.


• Communicates effectively with team members in and outside of pharmacy, providing quality customer service.


• Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician.
