Job summary

Qualifications

• Education required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience Preferred: 1 year hospital experience.
• Certifications Required: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice.
• KSAs – Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information; proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard; effective verbal and written communication; ability to present information clearly; operate standard pharmacy and office equipment; strong interpersonal skills; ability to travel between facilities; able to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call).

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders, charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds and enters TPN orders into the computer system.
• Maintains competency in professional growth and responsibilities.
• Adapts behavior to the patient population and maintains privacy and professional communication.
• Other related duties as required.
