Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to join Baptist Medical Center Clay on a full-time schedule including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

The role involves preparing compounded sterile medications in an IV Room, refilling the automated dispensing cabinet, and supporting the central pharmacy, under supervision of a pharmacist. Florida license is required; hospital experience and 6 months in IV Room; CPT preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires pharmacy-based hospital experience.

• Must be licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
• Maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards in daily duties for IV admixture and TPN preparation.
• Refilling our automated dispensing cabinet, and assisting in the central pharmacy.

Education

Baptist Health is currently seeking a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Clay.

This is a full-time various shift opportunity working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This candidate must have pharmacy-based hospital experience, and at least 6 months of experience within an IV Room. This candidate will be responsible for preparing compounded sterile medications using aseptic techniques within an IV Room, refilling our automated dispensing cabinet, and assisting in the central pharmacy. This candidate must be licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.

As an IV Admix Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
• Maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards in their daily duties for IV admixture and TPN preparation.

Pharmacy Technician Experience

• 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
