Job summary

Onco360 is seeking an Intake/Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician for our Specialty Pharmacy in Scottsdale, AZ. The role involves creating patient profiles, processing orders, and managing documents in a high-volume environment.

Starting salary is $24.00 per hour with a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM MST). A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for hires starting before Aug 31, 2026, with potential remote work after onsite training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law
• Pharmacy technician certification preferred or required by state law

Responsibilities

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders from electronic prescription and fax queues
• Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate
• Manages incoming documents from the fax server
• Generates and types prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification
• Follows up on outbound prescription transfers
• Clarifies patient demographic and clinical information needed to process prescriptions

Work Hours & Compensation

Full time hours, Monday to Friday - from 9:30-6:00 PM MST.

Starting salary from $24.00 an hour and up. This will be a Full‑time position, and you may transition to work remotely after onsite training is complete. Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before August 31, 2026.

Intake Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
• Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate
• Manages incoming documents from the fax server

Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Generates and types prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification
• Follows up on outbound prescription transfers
• Clarifies patient demographic and clinical information needed to process prescriptions

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, previous experience in pharmacy

Experience

• Required: Pharmacy Technician – 1+ years
• Desired: Pharmacy Technician – 3+ years

Skills / Knowledge

• Required: Pharmacy or healthcare‑related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

License or Certification

• Pharmacy Technician State License/Registration (per State Board of Pharmacy)
• Certain states also require National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT via PTCB/NHA)
