Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks part-time faculty to teach Pharmacy Technician courses for diploma and vocational diploma students in-person this Fall 2026 semester. Begin August 10, 2026, with duties including developing and teaching coursework, advising students, and maintaining lab facilities.

Hours vary by departmental needs. Qualifications include a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy for pharmacists, a Bachelor’s for technicians with ASHP training preferred, and documented

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or higher; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician: Bachelor’s degree or higher; ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Occupational requirement: 3 years of full-time work experience in Pharmacy practice; 2 years sterile compounding experience in past 5 years.
  • Industry Certification: Valid CPhT by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
  • Licensure: Pharmacy Technician license (WI); Pharmacist (RPh) license (WI).
  • Preferred: experience with USP compliance, training staff, and competency assessment programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and deliver instruction and related activities.
  • Manage classroom and laboratory.
  • Develop curriculum and monitor program effectiveness; assist in evaluation.
  • Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Assess student performance and advise on academic issues.
  • Collaborate with advisory committee and participate in meetings.
  • Promote the program and recruit/retain students; support student organizations.
  • Maintain certification and pursue ongoing professional development.
