Job summary

Walmart's Sam's Club in Covington, LA is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will support member needs, process prescriptions, stock supplies, and assist in immunization and point-of-care services as part of a patient-centered pharmacy operation.

You will work under state regulations, maintain accurate records, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and participate in training to stay current on medications and best practices.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Prior work experience in pharmacy operations, medication dispensation, inventory management, pharmacy training and development, vaccine administration, or related area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting company products and services that engage members in total healthcare solutions.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; operates cash registers and related equipment; processes member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Provides Pharmacy products and services to members by assisting with processing prescription and OTC orders, stocking and securing Pharmacy supplies, entering prescription information, and maintaining required documentation.
• Receives and stocks merchandise in the Pharmacy area and maintains the Pharmacy area following procedures, merchandising, and documentation.
• Provides immunizations and point-of-care testing as offered by Sam’s Club in compliance with state regulations.
• Assists in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring accurate tracking.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate dispensation of medications and support information.
• Participates in training to stay updated on industry standards and best practices in pharmacy operations.
