Job summary

HealthPoint is a community-based health network providing high-quality care to all. The Pharmacy Technician supports non-clinical prescription filling, immunizations, insurance handling, and patient communications under a pharmacist's supervision.

Proof of immunizations and licensure must be maintained; bilingual ability is preferred. The role involves inventory management, data entry, and collaboration with healthcare providers across HealthPoint sites.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification from accredited program.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Must be able to communicate with patients and colleagues; empathy and patience are assets.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all federal, state and agency standards related to pharmacy practice.
• Dispense medicines under supervision, including data entry, insurance input, billing, counting, labeling, and packaging.
• Process third party insurance claims and obtain prior authorizations when needed; resolve insurance issues.
