Job summary

Mercy Pharmacy South is hiring a Pharmacy Technician III to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. This role reports to the supervising pharmacist and requires compliance with federal, state, and local laws for patient safety.

Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, active Missouri Board registration as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to register by day one, FBI background check fingerprints, and 3 years of relevant pharmacy experience

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: Tech II requires 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience; Tech III requires 3 years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for Tech II/III.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of customers and patients.
• Support supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for patient care and safety.
