Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding and dispensing orders, and perform technical duties in handling, packaging and delivering pharmaceuticals.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least one year of experience as a technician; opportunity to work across multiple pharmacy functions and provide care to patients from neonate to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
