Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Prior Authorizations to ensure timely access to medications for Mercy Primary Care patients. You will work under the supervision of the pharmacist to submit prior authorizations and support the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities include assisting with preparation and dispensing under policy, following all laws, and completing required orientation. A patient‑centered team environment awaits at Mercy Pharmacy Kennerly.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence.
• Licensure: Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration as Pharmacy Technician or willingness to apply by first day, including FBI background fingerprinting.
• Experience: Tech I – 1 year preferred; Tech II – 1 year required (2 years preferred); Tech III – 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications under supervision.
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for care and safety of customers and patients.
• Complete department orientation and comply with policy requirements.
