Join our Cancer Care Pharmacy team at our South Medical Pavilion campus in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a full time opportunity with a day shift schedule and limited weekend commitments with no on call. Our Cancer Care Pharmacy Technicians spend majority of the time performing sterile compounding of cancer medications in our clean rooms. In addition, Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for daily cleaning of the sterile compounding areas, stocking supplies, calibrating equipment, scanning orders into the electronic medical record (EPIC) to ensure accuracy, placing as well as receiving drug orders, and stocking automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell).
High School Graduate or GED. 2 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting OR At least 18 months experience as a pharmacy technician at The University of Kansas Health System
Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
