UMC Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in providing quality patient care. You will process medication orders, dispense medications, and deliver drugs to units within the health system.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Texas PT tech registration, IV certification, and accuracy in medication histories entered into the EHR. Training opportunities and a supportive team environment are offered.

The Pharmacy Technician II assists the Pharmacist and other hospital staff in providing quality care to patients by applying knowledge and training of medication distribution.

Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:

Daily interaction with other staff within the Pharmacy department. Works closely with clinics, nursing units, EMS, and other hospital staff as required
Work is of light demand; involves lots of walking on the health center campus. Must possess near visual acuity to read documents and computer records. Ability to lift up to 10pounds.
This position is subject to inside environmental changes that may include constant change in temperatures. Hours of duty may be irregular to accommodate departmental requirements.
