Commonspirit Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital in The Woodlands, TX.

You will support pharmacists with accurate dispensing, IV admixture, inventory management and patient inquiries in a safety-driven environment. Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, maintaining stock, operating automated delivery systems, and contributing to QA and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires TX Pharmacy Technician license or certification upon hire.
• 6 months compounding of IV medications.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials (PTCB/ECPT) required or preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications per policies and regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
