Job summary

St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will handle prescriptions, IV admixture preparation, inventory management, operate automated medication delivery systems, and assist patients with inquiries, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required at hire.
• At least 6 months of IV medication compounding.
• TX Pharmacy Technician license required at hire.
• ECPT certification required at hire or PTCB certification.
• PTCB/Pharmacy Technician Certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks to support day-to-day department operations.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and documents appropriately.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation and related regulatory requirements.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
