Job summary

YRMC Prescott, part of Dignity Health, seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and safely. You will process prescriptions, compound IV medications, manage inventory, and assist patients while following safety and regulatory guidelines.

Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organization, and a patient-focused demeanor are essential to maintain high-quality care and compliance across the department.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• At least 6 months of IV medication compounding experience.
• AZ Pharmacy Technician certification or eligibility.
• Certification: ECPT, PTCB, or Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications per policies and regulations.
• Performs clerical tasks to support day-to-day operations.
• Maintains medication and supply stock levels.
• Operates automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in QA programs and maintains QA documentation.
• Trained in IV admixture with regulatory/compliance requirements.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.

• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.

• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels

• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.

• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.

• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
