Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a pharmacy technician to support hospital operations across central and decentralized settings. You will assist in dispensing, preparation, inventory management, sterile compounding, and regulatory compliance under pharmacist supervision.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of hospital or ambulatory pharmacy experience and hold an active state technician registration; High School diploma required. This PRN/Part-time role offers day shifts in the United States.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of hospital pharmacy, retail or ambulatory experience preferred.
  • Active State Pharmacy Technician registration required.

Responsibilities

  • Executes core pharmacy technician duties under pharmacist supervision.
  • Dispenses medications and assists in preparation, inventory, sterile compounding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports central and decentralized operations including ADC management and cleanroom compounding.

Job Description:
  • Executes core pharmacy technician duties with proficiency in standard workflows, hospital systems, and pharmacy operational programs under pharmacist supervision.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in core pharmacy services, including medication dispensing, preparation, inventory management, sterile compounding, controlled substance handling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides coverage across core pharmacy practice areas, including central/distributive operations, decentralized services, automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) management, and cleanroom compounding as assigned.
  • Accurately prepares and safely dispenses patient-specific medication doses, ensuring correct drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning.
  • Compounds sterile medications such as IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions, following USP <795> & <797> guidelines and institutional protocols, with appropriate oversight.

Pay Range:

$22.02 - $35.24
