Covetrus is headquartered in Portland, Maine, with more than 5,000 employees, serving over 100,000 customers around the globe.**SUMMARY**Our Fort Worth, TX Pharmacy is looking for a **Pharmacy Technician**, who under general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and in accordance with standard departmental procedures, will prepare medication for animal consumption. Supports the company mission, vision, and values.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Performs duties assigned by a licensed pharmacist.* Areas of work are checked routinely for maintenance of quality control.* Work is conducted in accordance with generally accepted standards of practice following departmental procedures and policies.* Read and interpret veterinarian orders received in pharmacy and transcribe same onto a pharmacy computer medication profile.* Prepare in accordance with standards of pharmacy practice compounds for use under direct pharmacist supervision.* Prepare in accordance with pharmacy law and standards of pharmacy practice, prescriptions to be dispensed after pharmacist approval.* Check and remove outdated meds on a routine basis to ensure that no deteriorated meds are in stock.
