Job summary

Mission Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. The technician will perform technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, including compounding and dispensing medications, and maintain drug inventory and patient records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, state board registration where applicable, and at least 1 year of related pharmacy tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• State Board of Pharmacy registration required where applicable.
• Minimum 1 year related pharmacy tech experience required.
• ASHP Sterile Preparation Institutional Training Certification or similar PTCS certification
• 3 months of sterile product compounding experience

Responsibilities

• Performs compounding and dispensing of medications under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintains drug inventory and patient records.
