Job summary

UMC Health System in Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to assist the Pharmacist and hospital staff in providing quality patient care by applying training in medication distribution and safety.

Daily responsibilities include accurately processing medication orders, delivering drugs to units, maintaining pharmacy logs, supporting inventory, answering phones, and performing duties related to Pharmacy Compliance under the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process medication orders and requests, gather and dispense medications.
  • Deliver drugs to assigned units.
  • Maintain daily pharmacy logs.
  • Assist in inventory control, answer phones, and other duties by the Pharmacist/Supervisor.
  • All other duties related to Pharmacy Compliance.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Certified Pharmacy Technician license (Texas Board of Pharmacy)
