Edward-Elmhurst Health in Evanston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for the Inpatient team. The role involves assisting pharmacists, dispensing and labeling medications, and supporting daily pharmacy operations.

The position requires Illinois registration, a high school diploma, and is full-time with rotating day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays. Certification (CPhT) is preferred; licensing must be current.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of licensure.
• Prior technician experience, hospital experience preferred; retail experience preferred for retail roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, fill and label medications for final dispensing by pharmacists.
• Prepare unit-dose medications and support timely filling of automated stations.
• Conduct rounds to nursing units and prepare medications for transportation rounds.
• Assist with inventory maintenance of pharmacy supplies and medications (Rx and OTC).
• Aid in day-to-day pharmacy operations and closing/deposit procedures.

## Pharmacy Technician I - IP - Rotating Days/EveningsApply: EVH Evanston Hospital: Full time: Posted Today: R47461**Hourly Pay Range:**$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.**Position Highlights:*** Position: Pharmacy Technician I - Inpatient* Location: Evanston Hospital* Full Time (40 hours/week)* Hours: Rotating Days/Evenings. Required to rotate Day (6am or 7am start – 2pm -3pm) and Evening (3pm -11:30pm) shifts (8 hours shifts), rotating weekends and holidays. **A Brief Overview:** The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in dispensing and filling prescriptions. The Pharmacy Technician duties include, but are not limited to, entering prescriptions in the computer, filing prescriptions, ordering medications and over the counter items, calling third party insurance providers, and aiding the pharmacist in the day-to-day operations.
