Job description

Responsibilities

Assist the Pharmacist in preparing prescriptions as permitted by state law. Provide excellent customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales, and answering customer questions. Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and addressing inquiries. Additional duties include stocking and pricing OTC items, maintaining OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $35,996 – $48,397 (Pay based on education, experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education:

• Pharmacy Technician I Float: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
• Pharmacy Technician II Float: High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of Technician training program

Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician I Float: Minimum 6 months pharmacy tech experience or previous pharmacy service representative experience
• Pharmacy Technician II Float: 2-4 years retail pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program

Licenses:

• Required: TSBP Registration
• Preferred: PTCB Certification

Skills:

• Required: Ability to read labels and invoices, communicate effectively over the phone, write prescription information, handle customer complaints, stress tolerance, physical stamina
• Preferred: 10-key by touch

Other Requirements:

• Stress tolerance for fast-paced environment, physical stamina for maneuvering around pharmacy
