Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

Our specialty pharmacy offers a stable schedule, no weekends, and no major holidays, providing a better work-life balance. Technicians play a vital role in every step of the patient journey, with opportunities to develop expertise across multiple operational and patient-facing functions, including inbound calls, prescription information, and order shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee's residing state's requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription.
• Manage queues and work oldest orders first.
• Ensure correct shipment of the specialty pharmacy orders.
• Maintain adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals including ordering, receipt, verification, and stocking.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

• Responsible for answering the inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
• Responsible for contacting doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription
• Responsible for managing the queues and working oldest orders first
• Responsible for the correct shipment of the specialty pharmacy orders
• May be responsible for ensuring adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, including ordering, receipt, verification of orders, and stocking of pharmaceuticals and supplies
• The Employee will act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve. Thus, legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employee
• Other duties as assigned
