Job summary

Accendra Health is hiring for an Order Management expanding team to process new starts, orders, and refills. You will enter orders into the pharmacy system, collect payments, and ensure clinical and billing documentation is complete.

This role also includes insurance verification calls, patient outreach for APN services, and maintaining accurate patient records in the system. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of pharmacy or related work experience.
  • Participation in continuing education as requested by supervisor.
  • All personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Process new starts, new orders and refills ensuring clinical appropriateness and patient payments.
  • Enter orders into the pharmacy computer system and gather billing documents.
  • Adjudicate online claims and collect past due balances and patient payment.
  • Notify customers about shipment and coordinate insurance verification.
  • Support PCC, IV C and Customer service teams with outreach.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $$18.75 - $19.00 hourly. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order Management (Work Cells)
  • As part of this small team, the incumbent will process new starts, new orders and refills requiring intervention to completion, meaning the order is clinically appropriate, reimbursable and patient’s out‐of‐pocket expense is collected.
  • Enter new orders into the pharmacy computer system
  • Obtain all necessary billing and clinical documents.
  • Adjudicate NCPDP online claims and collect past due balances and patient’s out‐of pocket expense for the current order.
  • Notify customer of shipment.
Insurance Verification Call Team (IVC)
  • Call insurance company to verify patient coverage
  • Submit patient information online to verify patient coverage for those insurance companies that offer the online service.
  • Meet IVC team turnaround time service level agreement with work cells.
Patient Care Coordination Team (PCC)
  • This functional team contacts Apria patients to see if they would like APN to provide them pharmacy services along with the nebulizer Apria provides them.
  • Make outbound calls to existing Apria customers to offer them APN pharmacy services.
  • Obtain demographic and billing information from prospective APN customer
  • Enter new accounts in the pharmacy computer system

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of pharmacy or related work experience
  • Apria Pharmacy Network personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor or the company. In addition, APN personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job‐related skills and abilities and attain any and all necessary continue education credits required for job related licenses.
  • All personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS
  • Licensed and/or nationally certified technician or the ability to apply for and obtain a license in the state pharmacy is located.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to travel by plane and automobile (if applicable).
