Job summary

Dillons pharmacy division in Manhattan, KS is seeking a pharmacy clerk to provide exceptional customer service and health and wellness product support. You will assist pharmacists, handle confidential information, and help manage inventory, cash handling, and customer inquiries.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, being at least 18 years old, and a willingness to comply with health, safety and privacy regulations. Prior pharmacy clerk experience and HIPAA familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Any previous comparable experience (desired).
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk (desired).
• EPRN familiarity (desired).
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.

Responsibilities

• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies.
• Answer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriate.
• Understand and follow guidelines on cash handling, including electronic payments and cash transactions.
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Complete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company.
• Support health and wellness initiatives.
