Job summary

PharMerica in Horsham, PA is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm, every other weekend. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSA/FSA, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), PTO, and more.

You will fill prescriptions, label products, compound, enter data, and assist with training and onboarding. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a state license, pharmacy experience, and strong computer skills. Long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management and check stock.
• Handle returned medications per protocol (credit or destruction).
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
• Work in Narcotics room and operate automated prepack machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (RxNow).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.
