Actalent is seeking a 100% remote Certified Pharmacy Technician to evaluate and authorize commercial prior authorization requests using clinical criteria in a calls-based environment. You will document outcomes, communicate decisions, and escalate complex cases for pharmacist review.

Responsibilities include handling calls from prescribers, detailing formulary alternatives, and maintaining accurate records within the pharmacy system.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote and can be located in any state except CA, HI, or Puerto Rico. Work hours involve 8-hour shifts between 6am CST - 9pm CST for 5 days a week, including some weekends. Overtime may be required during peak season from November to May. Training occurs from 8:00am-4:30pm CST, Monday to Friday, for 6-8 weeks. Equipment provided includes a laptop, mouse/keyboard, headset, second monitor, and privacy screen. The role starts as a 1-year contract with the intention to extend or convert thereafter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Huntsville, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
