Guardian Pharmacy of Birmingham, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, seeks a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to join our Birmingham, Alabama team. This on-site role centers on running medication cycles through our automation and packaging prescriptions accurately for delivery to customers.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, pharmacy tech credentials (or state registration), and 1+ year of related experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work

Responsabilidades

• Verify prescriptions and pull from inventory
• Label meds, scan, and bin packing
• Notify pharmacist of scanning issues
• Assist in training for Fulfillment workflows
• Communicate inventory needs for orders
• Maintain inventory levels and organize stock
• Meet accuracy and productivity targets
• Collaborate with supervisors to keep workflow smooth
• Keep workstation clean and stocked
• Follow laws and policies for dispensing meds
• Other duties as needed

Schedule

This is a 7-on/7-off position, working Thursday through Wednesday. The position follows the assigned 7-on/7-off schedule, including holidays that fall during the scheduled work week. The pharmacy is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

* The role will be primarily automation-focused, with responsibility for running medication cycles through our Parata TCG machine. This is an active position that requires being on your feet for the majority of the shift.

This role will be performed onsite at a closed-door pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
• Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.
• Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
• Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
• Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order. May assist in physical inventory.
• Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire about inaccuracies
