Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of South Georgia in Statesboro, GA, is hiring a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to join a fast-paced team under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. You will fill and package prescriptions accurately for delivery, maintain inventory, and support efficient workflows. Required: a High School Diploma or GED, pharmacy tech license/registration per state requirements, and 1+ years of related experience.

National Certification (PTCB) preferred. Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm–11pm.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience (tech knowledge may substitute)
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek and correct errors

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling prescriptions from inventory.
• Apply labels to packaging, scan and assemble into bins accurately.
• Alert pharmacist on duty if scanning issues occur.
• Participate in training to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply for orders.
• Maintain inventory levels and organize stock in order.
• Meet pharmacy’s established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Work with other supervisors to keep workflow smooth so orders are fulfilled.
• Keep workstation clean and organized and replenish stock as needed.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing dispensing of medications.

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Schedule Needed: Monday- Friday 3pm to 11pm

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.


• Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.


• Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.


• Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.


• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.


• Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order. May assist in physical inventory.


• Consistently meet pharmacy’s established accuracy and productivity levels.


• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.


• Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.


• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.


• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed


• Employees utilize company fleet vehicles for deliveries and work-related transportation.

Education and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)


• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
