Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy Services is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I in Grand Rapids, MI to support on-site prescription processing. You will verify orders, label and package medications, and keep inventory aligned with pharmacist guidance.

The position requires a Pharmacy Technician license/certification per state rules and offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package with benefits and opportunities for growth. Work is 100% on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state requirements; national certification preferred (PTCB).
  • Minimum 1+ year of related experience; basic computer skills; ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into bins accurately.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication scanning issues.
  • Assist in training and development to gain proficiency in other workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to maintain adequate stock for all orders.
  • Maintain inventory levels, remove expired meds, and organize stock neatly.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws pertaining to dispensing medications.
  • Other essential duties as assigned.

Schedule Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Saturdays & Sundays - 9:00 am - 5:30 pm *rotating weekends, you will work 1 weekend per month *This position is 100% on-site* All applicants must have a valid license and/or certification Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
  • Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order.
  • May assist in physical inventory.
  • Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation.
  • Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire about inaccuracies
